Hexham Straight Widening Alliance
The Hexham Straight project consists of widening a six-kilometre section of the Pacific Highway (Maitland Road) from four lanes to six lanes between the Newcastle Inner City Bypass at Sandgate and the Hexham Bridge. This will create two additional lanes in each direction and replacement twin-bridges across Ironbark Creek. Construction of the project is estimated to take around 2.5 years.
